Innovation Unleashed: Reflecting on the 10th CASSINI Hackathon in Kosovo
Weekend reflections from RADIX: mentoring Terra Pulse to 3rd place, celebrating winners, and the energy of EU Space for Consumer Experience.

The weekend of November 7โ9, 2025, will be remembered as a milestone for the tech community in Pristina. The 10th CASSINI Hackathon: EU Space for Consumer Experience, hosted at RADIX, was not just a competition; it was a 48-hour sprint of pure adrenaline, collaboration, and cutting-edge problem solving.
As the Founder of Postieri XYZ, I had the distinct privilege of attending not just as an observer, but as a Mentor. Now that the dust has settled, I wanted to share my reflections on an incredible weekend and celebrate the teams that turned EU space data into reality.
๐ A Weekend of Intense Creation
From the moment we kicked off on Day 1, the energy at RADIX was electric. We saw newly formed teams go from awkward introductions to "laptops humming and minds racing" in a matter of hours. The challenge was significant: take complex data from Copernicus, Galileo, and EGNOS, and build consumer-facing applications for travel, sports, or gaming.
๐ฅ Mentoring "Terra Pulse" to Victory
My personal highlight of the event was working closely with the talented team behind Terra Pulse.
Composed of Alpet Gexha (Software Developer), Aldi Krasniqi (UI Engineer), and Lirak Hasani, this team exemplified what it means to work under pressure. They set out to build a smart travel assistant that leverages satellite data to help travelers make safer, more informed journey decisions.
As their mentor, alongside fellow mentor Fatlum Zeka, I watched them navigate the highs and lows of product development.
- Alpet showcased incredible skill in backend logic, ensuring the data integration was solid.
- Aldi delivered exceptional UX/UI work, proving that production-quality design can be shipped in 48 hours โ a feat that even the judges complimented.
I am incredibly proud to announce that their hard work paid off: Terra Pulse secured 3rd Place!
Watching them refine their prototype, pivot when necessary, and deliver a pitch that resonated with the jury was a proud moment for me as a mentor. It reinforces what we believe at Postieri XYZ: with the right guidance and technical skill, Kosovo's youth can build world-class products.
๐ Celebrating the Winners
The competition was fierce, and the quality of solutions presented was remarkably high. We want to extend our massive congratulations to the other top teams:
- ๐ฅ 1st Place: Astro Scout โ A standout team with a powerful solution tackling real-world challenges.
- ๐ฅ 2nd Place: Trace It โ A highly creative project applying space data across various sectors.
๐ The Road to Brussels
The journey doesn't end here. There is already talk among the mentors and organizers about supporting the winning teams as they prepare for the final stage in Brussels. The commitment to these young innovators extends beyond the weekend; we are dedicated to seeing them succeed on the European stage.
A special thank you to Prishtina REA for organizing a flawless event and to all my fellow mentors who dedicated their time and energy.
At Postieri XYZ, we are energized by the talent we saw this weekend. The future of tech in Kosovo is bright, and it is powered by space data, innovation, and a relentless drive to create.
